14th Annual Holiday Networking Event

ASCM Tampa Bay invites members of local professional associations, the academic community, and business professionals to our 14th Annual Holiday Networking Event from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Tuesday, December 6th, 2022 at the Dunedin Golf Club.

This will be a joint meeting with the following invited, as well as other organizations:

• American Society for Quality (ASQ)
• Bay Area Manufacturers Association (BAMA)
• Financial Executives Networking Group (FENG)
• National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA)
• Society of Women Engineers (SWE)

Our guest speaker is Dr. Al-Aakhir Rogers, founder of The Rogers Connection, who will be speaking on the topic of "Diffusion of Innovation."

Dr. Al-Aakhir Rogers is founder of The Rogers Connection, a company committed to revealing and releasing the VALUE within individuals and organizations by revitalizing unhealthy cultures into thriving productive ones.

Dr. Rogers will be speaking on the topic of "Diffusion of Innovation: Paying Attention to Detail." This topic will discuss innovative ways to become better attentive to colleagues, tasks & responsibilities, and personal development for improved organizationa health.

When innovation is intentionally diffused into a system or group, new and novel concepts arise that empower forward movement.  Innovation keeps people, services, and products, relevant. When innovation is diffused, organizational health is the output.

Meet our Speaker: Dr. Al-Aakhir Rogers

Dr. Rogers has established himself as a compelling speaker & motivator, a master influencer, and a prominent scholar/researcher. His influence has resulted in mentoring and training millennial, collegiate, and professional athletes.

Educated at North Carolina A&T State University, Dr. Rogers earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s in electrical engineering. He earned his doctorate in electrical engineering with a concentration in microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) from the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. 

After spending several years in the corporate world, advancing the corporate ladder while holding courtesy faculty positions in research at different universities, Dr. Rogers found himself at a major crossroad in life; career advancement or life fulfillment.  He made the decision to turn down a lucrative salary to be a full-time husband, father, and entrepreneur, in that order.

Dr. Rogers has a technical ability to find solutions, the emotional intelligence to understand the world’s greatest asset, people, and a communication style that relates to all audiences.

From boomers to Gen Z, Pre-k to post doc, America to the world, Dr. Rogers communicates a message sure to IMPROVE attitudes, IGNITE success, INCREASE self-worth, and INFLUENCE transformation.
