President's Welcome

7/1/2022

Dear BAMA Colleagues,

I would like to express to you my sincere appreciation for your continued support of BAMA and our shared goals.Together, with the entire Board of Directors, we will continue to grow the organization to offer many benefits to support and promote manufacturing in Tampa Bay.  I look forward to working with all of you and our local civic and elected leaders to develop a more prosperous and vibrant community.

Since 1961, BAMA members have given over $200,000 to further STEM education, volunteered their time mentoring students, shared best practices, and advocated for legislation that supporting manufacturing. Representing 130 member companies from small businesses to global leaders, we are the top resource and most influential advocate for manufacturers in our area.

I hope that you will become an active member in BAMA by attending events, joining committees, and considering a position on the Board of Directors. Our organization is only as strong as our membership and I believe our membership is a mighty force.

To that end, we remain committed to introducing new programs, expanding, or improving on initiatives already in existence, and engaging in new partnerships to enhance the education and services we provide.

As part of the FloridaMakes Network, our mission is to improve the productivity and technological performance of Florida’s manufacturing sector. The FloridaMakes network is an industry-led initiative operated by Florida’s regional manufacturers associations in partnership with industry, research, educational and economic development organizations, both public and private, at the state and national levels. The network provides services focused on three principle value streams: technology adoption, talent development, and business growth.

I encourage each of our members to follow BAMA  on Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Twitter, explore our website, visit our manufacturing hub and sign up to receive our email newsletter so you can stay informed throughout the year.

My team and I look forward to working with you and seeing our organization and it's membership grow!

Wishing each of you every success in 2021.

Best Regards,

Jeff Cole

BAMA President

In 1961, our very first board of directors laid the groundwork of what today is the Bay Area Manufacturers Association of Florida. We are now over 120 members strong and our members provide over 2200 jobs locally. We have bonded together with common goals in support of BAMA and its mission. Over the past 55 years, we have established a wonderful legacy of an industry building better communities and It is my distinct honor and privilege to serve as the president for 2016-2017.

Since 2004, BAMA has given over $175,000 dollars to further education and devoted countless hours of volunteer work to exchange ideas and share best practice information to our community. We are committed to our mission of promoting the manufacturing industry in our community in order to ensure there are safe, clean, well-paying and meaningful jobs for our children.
Whether you are a member, a prospective member, or simply interested in learning more about BAMA, I invite you to explore our website and learn more about the opportunities to help impact the bay area community, and the opportunities involved in joining our efforts.

Yours in community spirit,
Rick Concotelli
