Join us for a manufacturing industry lunch and learn on Tuesday, September 13th from 11:30-1:00 PM (EST).

Businesses are navigating uncertainties with the current state of the economy and the impact it is having on their business from rising interest rates to mergers and acquisition opportunities. Join us and a panel of experts from American Momentum Bank, Florida CFO Group and Saltmarsh, Cleaveland & Gund for a lunch and learn to discuss solutions for the business in the manufacturing industry. Topics will include mergers and acquisitions, interest rates, macroeconomics and access to capital. This event is for manufacturers and small to medium size businesses who support manufacturers.  

Our panelists will focus on: ­

  • Economic outlook for businesses and how to prepare for economic uncertainty  
  • Interest rates and solutions for the impact on businesses
  • Mergers and acquisitions:
  • Preparing to buy or sell + learn tips for both
  • Access to capital and venture capital options

Lunch and networking begin at 11:30am; panel discussion begins promptly at 12:00pm.­­ Attendees are encouraged to submit questions for the panelists during registration.

Panelist Bios:

Michael Cole, JD, MSPA
Director, Tax & Accounting | Saltmarsh, Cleaveland & Gund

Michael is a director in the Tax & Accounting Services practice of Saltmarsh, Cleaveland & Gund. He has over 15 years of public accounting experience specializing in 704(b) allocations and compliance and tangible asset regulations. He is a national thought-leader in complex structuring for transactions for private equity and family offices, and he is recognized for his knowledge in the sales and exchanges of complex partnerships and organizational transactions. He brings a unique blend of skills including coding, agile planning and hardware knowledge, and prior to joining Saltmarsh, Michael was also a partnership capital account senior manager. He has spoken at various tax conferences throughout the country and is a noted co-author of the 8th Edition of the New Jersey Environmental Law Handbook (2014).

Jim Dietz, CPA, CGMA
CFO | Florida CFO Group

Jim is a strategic financial executive with 30 years' accounting, financial, and operational leadership experience in a broad range of industries including manufacturing, consumer products and real estate/homebuilding. He has been a CFO for most his career and started out in pu­­blic accounting as an auditor. Jim has been a fractional CFO services provider since 2014. The 25 partners of the Florida CFO group serve over 100 clients throughout Central Florida. Some of his accomplishments include leading a NYSE IPO and subsequent offerings for a multi-billion-dollar real estate business, a Nasdaq IPO for a large insurer, and Regulation D offerings for a variety of companies. Jim has also led successful exit transactions and negotiated and integrated corporate acquisitions. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Economics from the University of South Florida and is an active Florida CPA. Jim lives in St. Petersburg with his wife and enjoys spending time with his adult children, cycling and boating in his spare time.

Steven R. Hoschak
SBA Business Development Officer II | American Momentum Bank

Mr. Hoschak, a Florida native, has served the Tampa Bay community for more than 16 years. He has focused on all aspects of commercial lending with a specialized concentration in providing commercial loans to small to mid-sized businesses Nationwide, utilizing the US Small Business Administration (SBA) loan programs. His passion is to help small businesses achieve their financial goals and help support the expansion of the Tampa market. Mr. Hoschak also serves as Chair of 2-1-1 Tampa Bay Cares and is an active member of the community. He has been married to his wife Sonia for seven years and has two children, Kaden & Ava.

Diane E. McKelvey (moderator)
Vice President, Relationship Manager | American Momentum Bank

Ms. McKelvey is a Florida native, works in the Tampa Bay area, and lives in Tampa, serving her clients with the kind of dedication that comes from more than 30 years of experience in business management and client relationship management. She provides commercial lending solutions to small and medium-sized businesses, including real estate, equipment, lines of credit, and business acquisition financing. Drawing from her experience in healthcare management, business ownership, and as a banker, Ms. McKelvey provides a unique perspective for her clients. She graduated from Saint Leo University with a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in business administration. Ms. McKelvey supports her community as a Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce member serving on its Small Business of the Year and Women of Influence Committees. She serves as treasurer for End 68 Hours of Hunger Tampa, is a member of the Roundtable and Programs Committees for the Bay Area Manufacturers Association, 2022 recipient of the Bay Area Manufacturers Association Associate of the Year Award, and has served as president of the Network of Executive Women.
