PRESENTERS:


Dr. Kimberly Macuare, Co-Director of Innovation Labs at The Dalí 


Kimberly is an experienced educator, curriculum designer and writer. In her role as the lead program designer and facilitator for the Innovation Labs, she has helped many organizations, such as Henkel, Capital One, and Bloomin' Brands, to build their innovation capacities by developing creativity-focused mindsets and learning creative problem-solving skills.

She has extensive experience in arts-based creativity training and is a certified trainer of leading research-based creativity and innovation tools FourSight Mindset and Toolset and a certified facilitator of LEGO® Serious Pl ay® for Teams and Groups. Before joining The Dali, she managed the Institute for Advanced Discovery & Innovation on at the University of South Florida and served as associate editor for Technology and Innovation.

Deeply engaged in innovation culture, she has taught courses on creativity and innovation, designed innovative educational programming, and interviewed and written about some of the greatest innovators and innovations of the modern era.

She holds a BA in English from the University of Cincinnati, and an MA in English from The Ohio State University, and a PhD in English with a specialization in medieval literature and economics from The Ohio State University.

Holly O’Driscoll is an industry expert in the field of Design Thinking and human centered innovation.  Holly has built a reputation as a master human centered innovation strategist, trainer and facilitator having led programs in more than 20 countries. She is the former Global Design Thinking Leader at Procter & Gamble, where she led more than 250 workshops, often at the request of C-suite executives. She is the founder and CEO of Ampersand Innovation, LLC; a Design Thinking and human centered innovation strategy consultancy.

Holly is an IDEO Experience Point certified Design Thinking facilitator and trainer of other facilitators. She is the faculty chairperson of the Rutgers University Design Thinking Exec Ed program and has guest lectured on the topic of Design Thinking at The Parsons School of Design, Trinity College, Harvard Business School, Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business, Michigan State University, University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Business, and more. In January 2018, she was named one of Michael Bloomberg’s Design Thinking Coaches for the Bloomberg Philanthropies USA Mayor’s Challenge project, and one of the cities she coached was awarded a $1 million prize for the progress made during their partnership.

In addition, she has contributed to several books including Tom Wujec’s The Future of Making, David Dunne’s Design Thinking at Work, Thomas Lockwood’s Innovation by Design. She is working on her own book about Design Thinking and leadership. Holly is also a globally sought after conference keynote speaker. Holly has a BA in Chemistry and MBA from Thomas More College. She lives in Cincinnati, OH with her husband and four children.
