    JOB TITLE: Forklift Operator
    JOB LOCATION: Tampa, FL
    WORK HOURS: 
    5:00am – 1:30pm and 2:30pm – 12 midnight  (Occasional Saturdays) (Times subject to change based on business needs)

    PAY RATE: $16.00 per hour (Annual Review)

     

    GENERAL PURPOSE: The forklift Operator is responsible for operating and managing industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into railroad cars or trucks or storage areas. They are responsible for all activities associated with safely operating and caring for the forklift and the proper operation of the forklift at our facility in addition to participating in cross training efforts for specific plant needs and sharing those duties with other drivers. Duties include the completion of all required quality tests and inspections and notifying supervisors of any observed concerns in the production area related to either product handled or the safety of the facility.


    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
    Load/Unload trailers in a safe manner
    Material grading
    Placing processed material into inventory storage
    Monitor bale weights
    Complete all appropriate paperwork
    Perform pre-shift forklift inspection
    Perform routine preventive maintenance
    Maintains a basic knowledge of operations and procedures in all production departments.
    Maintain safe and clean work environment
    Completes all assigned trainings.
    Active participant in the Health and Safety programs.
    Performs other job duties as needed.


    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Must have high school diploma or G.E.D.
    Must have ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences and memos.
    Must have ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
    Must have ability to perform intermediate arithmetic dealing with decimals, fractions, ratios, etc.

    Controls and coordinates job cards. Ensures that employee is assigned and working proper pre-assigned jobs using a computerized wand system. Uses work packages, job control cards, labor-hour estimates, job descriptions, project categories, charge numbers, to meet established schedules.
    Monitors complete and incomplete job cards. Makes reports, as required, on status of schedule.
    Notes data, number of hours charged to card, and number of established budget hours.
    Performs general clerical duties, to include setting up files, reproducing paperwork, and entering and collecting computerized data.
    Audits completed work cards. Projects data to show effects of complete and/or incomplete work.
    Updates project flow as required and directed by the Supervisor.

    Additional Duties

    Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors necessary for the normal day to day operation, not determined at time of hire.

    Summary Description of Position

    Tool Room Attendants are responsible for the inventory control of items maintained in the Tool room. An attendant also maintains the tool room in a neat and orderly manner. An attendant is expected to assist co-workers with tooling needs, and provide information to new employees regarding tooling and supplies.

    Major Responsibility Areas and Duties

    · Maintain control of tool room, issue tools and supplies to production personnel; returns tooling to assigned tool room location and keep company property well maintained and clean.

    Versatile Packagers is an essential manufacturing business seeking a multi-crafted Maintenance Technician with the primary duties of troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance of packaging machinery and the facility. Looking for dedicated, self-motivated individuals able to analyze and resolve machine and facilities related problems. The perfect candidate must have strong prioritization skills (ability to identify high priority repairs and length of repair time) and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

    This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.

    This position will pay based on experience. Versatile Packagers will provide you with the necessary tools.

    Responsibilities:

    • Check equipment and perform routine maintenance to ensure everything is in working order
    • Respond to repair requests and repair malfunctioning equipment
    • Perform light building maintenance tasks as needed

    The Quality Assurance Inspector will perform routine checks, tests, gauging, and instrument inspections of materials, goods in process, and finished goods.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    ·         Perform assigned inspections on parts, product in process, and finished product

    ·         The ability to use a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) for acceptance of product is preferred.

    ·         Inspect visually for obvious defects

    ·         Compare results with quality standards

    ·         Report inspection and test results to Quality Manager

    ·         Identify defectives and segregate from acceptable product

    ·         Notify Quality Manager and Program Engineer when inspection data exceeds acceptable limits or when major incidents of poor quality are noted
