    Position Description

    Position Title: Receiving Clerk

    Position Reports to: Receiving Manager

    FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

    Effective Date:

    Overall Responsibility: Inspect deliveries with great attention to detail. Ensure efficient receiving processes and promptly resolve any problems or discrepancies with receipt of test items.


    • Receives and signs for all deliveries.
    • Compares the Purchase Order (P.O.) with invoices, Sales Order (S.O.) and packaging lists. If any of these items are missing, reports to the Receiving Manager for disposition.
    • Inspects deliveries to ensure they match P.O., S.O. and invoice criteria. If there are any discrepancies, reports these to the Receiving Manger for disposition.
    • Organizes and stores received items in the appropriate area.
    • Processes returns for incorrect or unsatisfactory items.
    • Maintains daily receipt files. Updates inventory with all received items.
    • Maintains RMA log for receipt of returned customer product.
    • Completes and distributes Discrepancy log for Purchasing and Final Quality Control.

    Develops and helps to implement ideas through the Global ETS Continuous improvement process.

    • Performs other duties as directed by the department manager.

    Education: Must have a high school diploma or GED.

    Experience: Previous Receiving experience is a plus. Should have good communication and organizational skills. Must have computer skills and knowledge of data entry and inventory software programs. Must have basic math skills and aptitude.

    Financial Responsibility: There may be some damage of loss of incoming test parts. Must exhibit care and attention to minimize this.

    Contacts: Position involves contacts with individuals inside the company regarding any questions on discrepancies found with test parts and Receiving documentation. May have contact with customers in order to provide information on receiving discrepancies and issues.

    Judgment and Decision Making:. May require certain judgment on receiving discrepancies. If any doubt, can bring to the attention of the Receiving lead or department manager for resolution.

    Overall Responsibility: Participate in the design of new products being developed by the company, meet and communicate with customers as needed in order to understand customer requirements and identify new applications.     Summary of Position:

    The Senior Quality Engineer oversees all internal quality related activities for product line(s), and associated processes. He/she is responsible for leading inspection planning, and data collection management. He/she evaluates inspection/test results, data analysis, customer feedback, key process indicators, Internal Audit results, etc. to drive quality process improvements.
