    Welder Summary: Complete weldments from engineering drawings utilizing basic hand tools, hand
    grinders, fixtures, MIG and TIG welding machines.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ability to assemble weldments from drawings.
    • Experience welding aluminum, steel and stainless steel. (.04” up to .75”)
    • Fixture and weld sheet metal enclosures, frames and brackets.
    • Operation of a TIG welder, setup, and maintenance.
    • Operation of a MIG welder, setup, and maintenance.
    • Utilize hand grinders/sanders to perform weld joint fit-up.
    • Control raw material inventory utilizing shop routers and bar coding stations.
    • Weld and setup sub-assemblies for welders.
    • Control raw material inventory and ensure correct materials are allocated.
    • Document materials and processes used to build products.


    What You Need to Succeed

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ATTITUDE

    • Proficient blueprint and fabrication knowledge, with attention to dimensions and tolerances.
    • Experience with maintaining part shape and tolerances related to heat distortion.
    • Fabrication shop practices.
    • Organizational proficiency.
    • Team oriented.
    • Self-starter.
    • Preferably certified to AWS D17.1 or AWS D1.1 or AWS D1.2 or the ability to pass a weld certification test to become certified.
    • Ability to pass an eye examination.
    • 5+ years’ experience preferred.
    • Pay rate dependent upon experience and certifications.

    GENERAL SUMMARY:

    · Program custom automation machines and industrial lines. Packaging & assembly all industries.

    Contract and part-time available (full-time possible if interested)

     MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    · Designing PLC and HMI programs. Assisting with programs, as well as determining the proper motor    drive specification and settings where applicable.

    · Work within budgeted costs and hours for given tasks.

    · May be charged with lead or supervisory role tasked with keeping all aspects of a project on schedule, but mostly take direction from manager

    · Integrate and upgrade equipment on site, shop as well as at customer facilities as necessary.

    Identify potential new customers and representatives. Help customers and representatives identify and purchase the products for their production needs. Provide excellent customer service through completion of project.

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    ·         Build trustworthy relationships with new and existing customers and independent sales representatives in order to determine and meet their custom automation needs.  Follow-up with potential and existing customers within 24 hours.

    ·         Process samples sent in from customers.

    ·         Brainstorm with engineering and R&D to recommend products that match customer needs.  Provide customers and representatives with marketing information through videos, brochures, etc., in order to accurately describe product features and benefits.

    ·         Prepare quotes for customers.  Use data from previous builds to develop competitive and profitable pricing and design concepts. 

    ·         Develop Scope of Work document for each job with assistance from other departments. 

    ·         Continue to work as intermediary with customers through project completion, providing project status throughout project and ensuring information is being exchanged as needed between internal team and customer (i.e. design approval document).  Work with other managers on project goals and due dates in order to successfully manage customer’s expectations and relations.

    ·         Handling and resolving customer complaints regarding a product or service.

    ·         Increase sales by developing and executing a sales and marketing plan.

    ·         Update website and marketing materials as needed.  Send regular newsletter to customers and partners.  Develop new marketing strategies.

    ·         Attend and develop business and partnership at industry trade shows (PACK Expo, etc. and within industry organizations (BAMA, etc.).

    ·         Planning and directing the hiring and training of new Sales Representatives.

    ·         Preparing sales budgets and projections and approving expenditures.

    ·         Tracking and analyzing sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics

    ·         Other tasks as determined by supervisor.

     

    Skills and Qualifications:

    ·         Ability to set sales targets and achieve them effectively.

    ·         Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills

    ·         Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 

    ·         Strong analytical skills to identify trends and sales patterns

    Responsible for using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic components and parts to produce machines, goods, products, and other objects.  Reads and interpret blueprints, positions parts, and examines connections for correct fit.  Assists with customer visits and installs.  Uses software skills to design and detail parts.

    Responsibilities:

    ·         Study and interpret assembly instructions

    ·         Determine if all parts are present

    ·         Read and interpret blueprints and sketches

    ·         Read BOM list

    ·         Assemble tools and materials

    ·         Organize parts and subassemblies

    ·         Interpret measurements

    ·         Verify specifications

    ·         Assemble components with proper length and required fasteners

    ·         Ensure all parts are fitted and installed properly

    ·         Alter dimensions to fit specifications and make ECN

    SHIFT: Monday thru Thursday (10 hours days)

    Operating various machines for the purpose of producing glass shower doors and mirrors.

    Must have tool experience
