    This is a senior-level position to assist the lead and supervisor with total team development to help maintain equipment to meet production goals. 

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for the Electrical, PLC, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs, installations, and set-up of production machinery.
    • Make certain all machines and systems utilized in manufacturing are operating at peak performance at all times.

    The Card Press Assistant will ensure that the correct amount, quantity, item and quality standards are being produced, and on the job training is available.  This position reports to the shift Production Supervisor and will also take direction from the Card Press Operator, Senior Operator, or Card Press Lead.

     Lead new product launch activities from a quality perspective through participation in product design reviews, production readiness reviews, and prototype builds, and through the development of Mfg. Flow Charts, PFMEAs, Process Control Plans, MSA Studies , Gage R & R Studies, Qualification of Special Processes, Vendor selection/approvals, First Article Inspection Reports, and Safe Launch requirements to ensure a new product’s transition to production is accomplished successfully with the most robust manufacturing processes possible.

     May participate in and/or conduct audits (both external and internal), which may include: developing an audit plan, documenting audit results, and development/acceptance/verification of corrective and preventive actions to effectively close audit findings.

     Assist Quality Assurance Manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system and other quality functions as needed to ensure compliance to AS9100.

     Identifies, develops, and manages effective relationships with existing and potential suppliers of goods and services to meet the established cost, quality, and delivery targets.

     Establishes, implements, and manages systems to evaluate, monitor and report supplier scorecard performance.

     Adheres to established company policies, procedures, terms and conditions and legal matters that affect purchasing policies.

     Coordinates and works with quality, design and manufacturing engineering, machining, and assembly operations to ensure 100% on-time delivery by establishing and monitoring schedule to proactively identify and address any issues.

     Responsible for accuracy of inventory counts by implementing and managing, in conjunction with Finance, an inventory control system, capable of identifying discrepancies

    Experience in total quality, six sigma, or other similar environments.

     Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment. Experience with EXACT MAX a plus.

     Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.

     Ability to demonstrate solid written and oral communication skills, as well as professional presentation skills.

     APICS certification a plus.

     Must be able to work with ITAR products and related data without restriction.

    Summary of Position:

    This position is responsible for leading the technical proposal team through contract award, and ultimately the design and development of the product to customer fulfillment. Direct customer contact and relationships are utilized to ensure customer contracts achieve customer satisfaction for assigned customers and products. Requires regular customer interface to ensure Sales, Operations and Engineering departments are aligned for on-time delivery of quality product to the customer.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

     Primary function is to control costs, manage to the schedule and mitigate scope changes.

     Provides accurate and risk-based forecasts for non-recurring engineering payment milestones and initial hardware deliveries.

     Establishes project timelines and maintains database of task, status of tasks and other defined project metrics. Monitors schedules, scope creep and communication to ensure satisfactory completion of contract requirements within schedule and budget constraints.

     Disseminates project requirements to other Aerosonic constituents and works with the functional managers to ensure resources are applied to meet the company’s commitments.

     Reviews, discusses, and resolves project issues with various Aerosonic functional departments.

     Works with other Project Managers and Project Engineers to identify and communicate schedule and risk status and develop and drive resolution on a regular and timely basis. Escalates as appropriate for visibility to the Aerosonic Business Unit management team and Senior Leadership.

     Leads & facilitates meetings with various departments to review project milestones and implements corrective actions as needed.

     Partners with sales, finance, engineering and Aerosonic management to assist in bidding and award negotiations directly with the customer.

     Prepares and presents monthly project reviews on status of schedule, financial, risk mitigation, manpower and other aspects of assigned projects.

     Helps establish project goals and supporting tactics in company business plans. Develops reportable key performance indicators with Business Unit Management.

     Defines and manages project Risk Management plan and associated metrics.

     Maintains an active stakeholder register and communication plan.

     May represent the company at project planning meetings.

     Provides interface and coordination with customers, contractors, and vendors to review work progress.

     Must be able to maintain composure while under intense pressure and deadlines.

     Must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision.

     Excellent responsiveness and customer focus.
