Ensure compliance with all Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) rules, product documentation, specifications, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and customer requirements as required. Work closely with Production Planners; oversee stockroom activities and transactions, and work order close out. Work effectively with Quality Assurance and Shipping departments to coordinate timely shipment of products. Integrate Danaher Business System (DBS) into value stream operations including updating production charts (Visual Management tools), report production metrics and activities, team goals and countermeasures to management during Daily Management meetings, and associate training.
Support and emphasize Safety and Quality commitments of the value stream – make decisions concerning these commitments within the area. Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new hires. Identify, facilitate, and verify appropriate training for associates in the area. Manage associate performance and development including recognition, feedback, corrective / disciplinary actions, training, and developmental processes, and daily attendance. Support Talent Management goals; conduct recognition and disciplinary actions for associates.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering discipline with a preference of 2 years of manufacturing experience or a minimum preference of 5 years of manufacturing experience. Prefer 2 years of managing/supervising a team within a manufacturing setting including talent acquisition, talent development, and performance management (i.e. disciplinary actions, coaching, etc.). Ability to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing plant setting.
Knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment. Strong professional writing skills and ability to prepare technical reports. Strong communication/interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization. Ability to understand GMPs and other regulatory guidelines applicable to the aerospace industry. Strong assessment and troubleshooting skills. Work in and facilitate a team-oriented environment. Collect and analyze data and information to determine paths for process improvement and potential root cause/corrective actions in the case of exceptions. Ability to respond to detailed inquiries, and present information to groups and senior management. May be required to supervise multiple groups.
Must be proficient in computer skills to access production information as required. Enterprise software experience (i.e. SAP) preferred. Must have experience in MS Excel and MS Word.
Manual Machinist II: 2nd Shift – R1181994
Inspect work using precision measuring instruments (hand gauges, micrometers, calipers, height gauge, functional gauges, optical comparator aka shadow graph). Work with complex castings and forgings as well as machine parts from bar stock. Read and understand all types of drawings (i.e. blueprints, detailed engineering sketches, etc.) required to machine parts such as castings, forgings. Deburr parts during machining operations. Work with various types of inspection equipment to ensure quality. Troubleshoot and diagnose machine process issues. Perform basic set-up.
Understand and use measuring equipment. Complete all paperwork as required including scorecards, hazard recognitions, routers and data. Selects proper holding devices, chucks, collets, faceplates, vices, sine plates, etc. Requirements: High School diploma or local equivalent (i.e. GED). Minimum five (5) years of experience working on manual machining equipment. Possesses functional knowledge of general dimensioning and tolerancing. Understand, follow and communicate verbal and written instructions. FAA certification may be required. Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds. Lift up to 50 pounds with assistance. Lifting frequency: Daily. Pass visual acuity exam. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Perform preventive maintenance on machines. Work safely by following all safety procedures.
Team Leader (Elements): 3rd Shift – R1191232
Collaborate with Cell Leaders and Value Stream leader to ensure our goals for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity are met or exceeded while producing product to specification requirements. Measure, build, fabricate and assemble components per SOPs, schematics, blueprints, engineering orders, and job sheets using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous equipment. Performs the set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshoots equipment. Complete all paperwork as required including scorecards, and hazard recognitions, Routers, Follower Tags, ATP, Slitter Sheets. Key transactions to maintain inventory accuracy, and issuance to the job. Move/”Float” within the Cabin Air Lines. Update charts and SQDIP. Assign daily tasks to co-workers. Sign-off on test data. Scrap parts according to SOPs. Ensure that co-workers are trained in the various processes and procedures. Perform Kamishibai daily.
Communicate ideas, problems, and concerns to management. Perform basic maintenance for the equipment. Requirements: Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of five (5) years of related experience. Knowledge and experience in assembly and testing of electrical and mechanical components and assemblies. Basic Math Skills (i.e. Shop Math). Lead, mentor and coach co-workers. Ability to read and understand blueprints, verbal and written work instructions. Ability to use all measuring equipment (i.e. height gauge, clippers, micro-ohm meter). Must be computer literate (i.e. MS Office Excel, SAP, AS400).
