    Key Responsibilities:

    • Precision Assembly: Execute meticulous assembly of automation control panels based on schematics, drawings, and engineering specifications. Attention to detail is paramount, ensuring the highest standards of quality and functionality.
    • Wiring Mastery: Bring the panels to life through expert wiring techniques. Navigate complex electrical diagrams and schematics with finesse, ensuring all connections are accurate, secure, and comply with industry standards.
    • Problem Solving: Be the problem-solving guru of the panel shop. Identify and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the assembly process, collaborating with the engineering team to implement effective solutions.
    • Quality Assurance: Implement and uphold rigorous quality control measures to guarantee the reliability and performance of each control panel. Conduct thorough testing to ensure that every panel meets or exceeds customer expectations.
    • Collaborative Team Player: Work closely with fellow assemblers, engineers, and project managers to foster a collaborative and efficient work environment. Contribute ideas and insights to enhance the overall effectiveness of the panel

    In Post Requirements:

    While we will consider applicants with little experience and offer training, the following requirements for all Panel Assemblers/Technicians will need to be achieved and maintained while employed at Infinity.

    • Work with industrial control components (push-buttons, beacons, motor starters, contactors, relays, etc.).
    • Willing to learn to read electrical schematics to wire the electrical components together.
    • Willing to learn to read panel layout drawings to layout devices on an electrical backplane.
    • Willing to learn to drill & tap holes to the electrical backplane for mounting of control devices (DIN rail, wire ducting, ground lugs, disconnects, etc.).
    • Willing to learn to read electrical schematics to wire PLC inputs and outputs to terminal block and electrical components.
    • Willing to learn to carefully adhere to established panel building practices to maintain the UL 508A standard. This includes wire stripping to correct length, tightening screw terminals to the correct torque, labeling wire uniformly, operating a label printer to label devices and enclosures.
    • Willing to learn to understand how to layout back panels and control panel doors based on schematics.
    • Willing to learn to understand how to read electrical schematics (ANSI and IEC) and wire panels accordingly.

    Qualifications

    • Must have a very high level of attention to detail and complete tasks on time.
    • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM M-F. Weekends may be required if the workload is heavy.
    • Having your own basic hand tools is highly preferred but not required for panel fabrication (specialty tools will be provided)

    OBJECTIVES / PURPOSE OF JOB

    SUMMARY:

    • Conducts work within established criteria and specifications.
    • Aids, guides, and trains less experienced team members.
    • Performs safety checks on all equipment and safety instruments.
    • Maintains equipment readiness and limits downtime in the event of malfunction.
    • Prepares technical report summaries and periodically presents work to internal customers.
    • Handles movement of gas turbine parts and miscellaneous equipment through-out the facility.
